Charlie's is a farm cottage near the Dark Hedges and the Causeway Coastal Route. The cottage holds a three star NITB rating and was primarily one of the old school houses in the area and later lived in by Charlie McCooke who was one of the McCooke's from this area noted for athletics, hence the name Charlie's. The cottage was restored by the Morrison family who have farmed the surrounding land since the 1950's, although the cottage is set on its own next to our small camping and caravanning club affiliated 5 van site. The cottage is a well equiped dwelling offering up-market, peaceful accomodation, set in spacious mature gardens surrounded by open countryside. The property is fully equiped for self catering comprising a kitchen/lounge plus two spacious well appointed bedrooms (double and twin) with bathroom including a bath and electric shower - Charlie's easily sleeps four adults and one child. There are the usual 'creature' comforts of a television, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, dish washer and free WiFi. Bed linen and towels are provided and if required a cot for young children can be made available. There is an open peat fire with both electricity and central heating included. Off road parking is available for two cars on the drive alongside the house.

Over the years Charlie's, situated one mile from the historic village of Armoy, has proven to be an ideal centre to explore some of Nortern Ireland's major attractions including the famous Causeway Coastal Route, the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Northern Ireland, the Giants Causeway, Carrik-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Bushmills Distillery, not to mention the picturesque Glens of Antrim, conveniently, it is adjacent to the Gracehill Golf Club, offering an 18 hole parkland course, and the newly opened Hedges Hotel and Licensed restaurant.

Plus the intrigingly beautiful avenue of beech trees planted in the eighteenth century, which two centuries later remains a magnificent sight and has become one of the most photographed natural phenomena in Norther Ireland. In fact the iconic trees have been used as a filming location in HBO's epic series Game of Thrones, representing the King's Road.

The famous Bregah row of intertwined trees is within walking distance of Charlie's and is A MUST PLACE TO VISIT.

There are venues in the area for Traditional music with it's mix of Irish and Scottish music - including fiddles, borans, accordians etc.. Speak to your host, Anne, who will be able to advise where and when there will be a 'Session'.

For those wishing to simply relax Charlie's offers the ideal tranquil setting in a quiet farming area with panoramic views of North Antrim.

Charlie's welcomes Walkers; Cyclists; Golfers; Families; Anglers and Well Behaved Dogs.
